McHenry Federation Gin

McHenry Distillery was approached by Parliament House in Canberra to create a new world gin that captured the essence of Australia. With a brief in hand we went to work on how best to capture the diversity of the Australian landscape.

The end result is Federation Gin, which combines the unique botanicals from each corner of this great brown land representing the flora from each State and Territory. Our Federation Gin is Australia in a bottle. Our unique gin is inspired by the diverse antipodean flora. Kakadu Plum from the Northern Territory, Lemon Myrtle from Queensland, Strawberry Gum from New South Wales, Mountain Pepperleaf from the Australian Capital Territory, South Australian Wattle Seed, Cinnamon Myrtle from Victoria, Tasmanian Celery Top Pine, and Quandong from Western Australia.

This gin is a little cheeky, a bit like the land it represents, and is perfect for making a gin and tonic or Negroni. Federation Gin has now become our export gin, taking a little piece of Australia to the four corners of the world.

Recommendation: Best paired with Pepper Berry Tonic Syrup and a slice of our Lemon Slice or Lime Slice as garnish.
