About HoneyPot

About Our Honey

The Honey Pot and Bruny Island Honey are the houses of honey venues of the Wright family’s proudly-run lifelong collaboration between the two families, the bees, and the Tasmanian Wilderness.

Together, they have about 900 hives which they move year-round to follow the blossoming flower trail so their bees can collect a variety of nectar from different floral sources.

They take the bees to Lake Pedder, to Bruny Island, and to the Huon and Derwent Valleys, where they collect Leatherwood and Bush, Prickly Box and Manuka Honey.

The Honey Pot extract and package all their own honey themselves at their facilities in Judbury, Tasmania.

About Bruny Island

Bruny Island is located off the south coast of Tasmania. It’s hugely popular with both locals and tourists and when you see the natural beauty it has to offer, it’s not hard to see why. Home to the famous South Bruny National Park, miles of unspoilt bushland, coast tracks and spotless beaches - it’s as close to perfect nature as it gets.

The island is bursting with wildlife! Fairy Penguins, Albatrosses, Wedge Tail Eagles, White Wallabies, Dolphins, Southern Right Whales and much more. The flora is also uniquely diverse, from forests of wet eucalypt (including leatherwood & blue gum) to rare orchid species and everything in between.

No wonder then that this is the best tasting honey the Curatas team have ever tried. That’s why we moved mountains to bring it to you!
