Tasmanian Leatherwood Honey

Leatherwood honey is unique and native to Tasmania and the Leatherwood tree itself prefers to be shrouded by a canopy in damper weather.

The Honey Pot sources its own Leatherwood honey from deep in the South West Forest and Bruny Island, Tasmania, producing a honey with strong, unmistakable floral flavours that hints of the wilderness.

Tasmanian Leatherwood honey is a great source of antioxidants, which are believed to be beneficial in the prevention of health-related issues such as cancer, heart disease, strokes, cataracts, Alzheimer's disease, arthritis, and symptoms of old age. Tasmanian Leatherwood honey is known to be 2-3 times richer in antioxidants than other Australian honeys.

Recommendation:

Mix with warm water to taste and stir gently. Add a slice of our Curatas Lemon to create a hint of zest. For hot summer days, serve with ice.
